Vinie Zhang, Director and President

Vinie Zhang serves as the Vice President of Hitachi's corporate venture capital group responsible for strategic investment in IT, Bio-tech, new material, and NANO/MEMS technology areas. Prior to joining Hitachi, Vinie was a Vice President for three years at Asiatech Ventures, an early-stage cross pacific venture fund, where she made numerous investments in enterprise software, wireless, and communications. Earlier, Vinie was a Program Manager managing new product development efforts at Read-Rite Corporation, a US based thin-film head manufacturer. She was also the Vice President of Sales and Marketing of FIT Bearings, a US/China joint venture start-up in the industrial component market.

A native of Shanghai, Vinie was the editor in chief of "We a Million", a Shanghai-based school children newspaper with circulation of one million. She was also the youngest TV producer and talk show host for Shanghai Television Station, producing a weekly feature program targeting the teenager audience. Vinie has been a keen promoter of entrepreneurship and venture investing in China and sits on the board of HuaYuan Science and Technology Association, a premier mainland Chinese professional organization. She is also the founding chairperson of the HuaYuan Venture Capital Group.

Vinie was the recipient of a Haas MBA scholarship while receiving her MBA from Haas Business School at the University of California at Berkeley. Vinie received her BS degrees Magna Cum Laude in Finance and Marketing from San Jose State University.

Stephenie Chow, Director and Co-President

Stephenie C. Chow currently is a Relationship Manager for private client  services and wealth management for HSBC Bank USA, N.A.  She also oversees philanthropy and contributions for the West Coast.  Previously she headed up the marketing and business development for the West Coast, which included the Private Bank, Retail, Commercial and the Middle Market. Prior to joining HSBC in 2005, Ms. Chow was Founder and Owner of 856 Folsom Gallery in San Francisco specializing in sales of contemporary  Asian Art. In addition, Ms. Chow designed and sold her own line of semi-precious stone table-top carvings, marketed under her own label - "Stephenie Charlotte Chow Designs." Prior to her entrepreneurial activities, Ms. Chow served as the Director of Channel Marketing and Development at Concert, a $7 billion start-up by AT&T and British Telecom.

Ms. Chow spent several years in Hong Kong with Credit Suisse Private Bank as Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications for North Asia. While in Hong Kong, Ms. Chow served as Chair of the Young Professionals Committee for the American Chamber of Commerce. She also
 served as President of the International Advertising Association (IAA).

Ms. Chow is also currently on the Steering Committee for Monsoon at the Asian Art Museum. Previously she co-chaired the IandI Asia - San Francisco Chapter. She is also an active member of The Asian Chefs Association (ACA) and Asia Society Northern California.

Born in Freiburg, Germany, Ms. Chow has lived in Paris, Lausanne, Hong Kong, Taipei, Los Angeles, and Seattle and is now residing in San Francisco. Ms. Chow holds a Bachelor of Arts, (BA) from Occidental College and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of
 Hartford. She speaks fluent Mandarin, Cantonese, French, German and English.

Henry Ka, Director and Vice President

Henry Ka is a private equity banker at Borel Private Bank & Trust servicing the venture capital and private equity funds in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to banking, Henry spent the past seven years working for other financial institutions like Comerica Bank and Morgan Stanley specializing in institutional fixed-income, restricted securities trading, and corporate benefits planning.

Henry's current and past affiliations include; Managing Director of the Mercury Resources Group; Entrepreneurship Committee Co-Chair for Monte Jade Science and Technology Association; Co-Chairman for Asia at Graduate School of Management at Boston University; and Founder of United Taiwanese Association at UC San Diego.

Lawrence Chang, Director

Lawrence Chang is the Founder and CEO of ActiveVibe a commerce platform for the health and fitness industry. Prior to founding ActiveVibe, Lawrence was the Director of Business Development at Panache Communications, a San Francisco-based boutique public relations firm, where he was responsible for new business development. Prior to Panache Communications, Lawrence was the Co-founder and VP of Marketing of L2 Solutions, Inc. a provider of web-based software for document communications for large enterprises. Lawrence received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from San Francisco State University.

Eric Chelini, Director

Eric Chelini is the Managing Director of the law firm FMF Global Law Group.   With over 20 years experience in finance, accounting, operations, and technology  . Mr. Chelini industry experience includes public accounting, retail, mortgage, and consumer and business Internet start-ups. Mr. Chelini received his MBA from California State University at Hayward in 1996 and received a Master of Science degree from Golden Gate University in San Francisco with a concentration in Electronic Business Systems in 2003. In addition, Mr. Chelini is recognized by the Project Management Institute as Project Management Professional©

Andy Wang, Director

Andy Wang is an experienced consumer marketer that keeps his pulse on fun products that fit today's consumer lifestyles.  Visit his latest venture, metrosnapshot.com, and experience urban design, living and travel through photography.  Prior to his, he was marketing manager at Wrapables.com, a start-up online retailer specializing in home accents.  At Wrapables.com, Andy is responsible for all advertising and PR efforts that has led to successful product placements on major media such as the CBS Early Show, HGTV, Real Simple, InStyle, Lucky, USA Today and the Chicago Tribune.  Prior to joining Wrapables.com, Andy held several managerial positions at CNET Networks in audience development and business development for two major websites -- ZDNet and GameSpot.  Before CNET, Andy was a project manager at Fujitsu, where he managed many of Fujitsu's online projects in online gaming and content.

He has also served on the Board as a co-chair of fundraising for Monsoon, a young professionals group at the Asian Art Museum.  Prior to this, Andy also served on the Board of the International Forum group at the World Affairs Council.

Andy received his degree in International Business and Japanese Language at San Jose State University.

Tina Wang, Director

Tina serves as the Managing Director of IBF Conferences/International Business Forum (IBF), responsible for developing IBF’s global markets, especially Greater China and Asia Pacific Region. Prior to joining IBF,   Tina was the Vice President of Business Development for the WI Harper Group, a China focused early stage venture fund, where Tina extensively involved in fundraising, investors relations, and developed strategic marketing plan for the fund.   Before WI Harper Group, Tina worked in both the venture lending and commercial banking sectors of Silicon Valley Bank for five years, where she worked in the team that led the top 20 US venture capitalists in the landmark 2004 Silicon Valley Bank Venture Capital Trip to China.

A native of Shanghai, China, Tina had worked for Shanghai Hi-Tech Park for four years where she provided consulting services and assisted multinational hi-tech companies to set up China subsidiaries. Tina is the Operating Board Member of Asia Silicon Valley Connection and the Co-Chair of the Bay Area Thunderbird Private Equity and Venture Capital Forum. Tina earned her B.A. in Foreign Language and Studies from East China Normal University in Shanghai, Master of Public Administration (with honor) from Arizona State University, and M.B.A in International Business with Thunderbird Worldwide Scholarships from Thunderbird, the School of Global Management.

Vivien Wang, Director

Vivien serves as senior international tax manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP.  She has over eight years of public accounting and international tax consulting experiences with high-tech companies and financial services industries.  Vivien is also a key member of Deloitte’s China Services Group on the west coast, specializing in China strategy planning for US companies.  Vivien graduated from the University of Utah, School of Business, and also attended the MTS program at San Jose State University.
